Congri rice with beans

Directions

1Boil the beans in water as it exits packaging (not the canned beans).

2Fry the bacon cut into small pieces.

3Add chopped fresh herbs and cook until golden brown.

4Add the beans to the sauce.

5Wash the rice and add it to cook the beans.

6Stir until it starts to boil.

7Reduce heat and simmer and cook covered for 30 minutes.

8Put the pot from the heat.

9Leave to cool for 5 minutes.

10Serve.

Ingredients

½ cup red beans

1 cup rice

150 g bacon

1 medium onion

3 cloves of garlic

2 medium sweet peppers (1 red and 1 green)

1 tablespoon tomato paste

¼ cup oil

Salt to taste
