
In Front Of 4 servings:
1 cup split peas (check that they have no stones between them and rinse)
4 cups water (of broth)
2 tablespoons oil
½ large onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic
½ chopped green pepper
1 large tomato, peeled and seeded
¼ cup chopped chop, spec of ham
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves

Fry in a pan with oil, ui, garlic and paprika.

Add the tomato.

Then add the pork and cook brown.

Pour water or broth and peas.

Bring to a boil.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until peas are soft.

Grind the salt and pepper.

Sprinkle the coriander and mix at the end of cooking.

This soup can be prepared with sliced potatoes, added when the peas are soft, followed by cooking until potatoes are ready. You can also add pieces of chicken or beef.
